A gentler approach to change

Hypnosis isn’t about losing control or becoming someone different.

It’s a focused, relaxed state that can help create space for awareness, nervous system regulation, and new ways of responding over time.

What Hypnosis Actually Is…

Most people are surprised to learn that hypnosis feels very natural.

You remain aware throughout the experience and can hear, think, and respond if needed. Many people describe it as feeling deeply relaxed, focused, or absorbed. It’s very similar to moments of meditation, daydreaming, or becoming immersed in a book or movie.

Rather than “taking over” the mind, hypnosis works by helping quiet some of the mental noise and automatic reactions that can make change feel difficult.

Why It Can Help

Many patterns related to food, stress, sleep, and emotional coping happen automatically, often beneath conscious awareness.

This work helps create space to:

  • notice thoughts and urges differently

  • settle the nervous system

  • reduce reactivity

  • strengthen supportive responses

  • practise change in a gentler, more sustainable way

Hypnosis is not magic, and it isn’t a quick fix.

When combined with repetition, self-awareness, and compassionate support, hypnosis can become a powerful tool for meaningful change.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Clinical hypnotherapy is a well-established, evidence-informed approach. These recordings are designed to be gentle and supportive. They are not a substitute for medical or psychological care. If you have a diagnosed condition, it’s best to consult your healthcare provider.

  • No. You remain aware and able to stop at any time.

  • That’s completely normal. Many people still benefit even when thoughts drift in and out.

  • Not necessarily. Openness and consistency tend to matter more than “belief.”

  • That’s okay too. Relaxation is common, especially when the nervous system has been carrying stress or exhaustion.

  • Most people can experience hypnosis to some degree, particularly when they feel safe, comfortable, and willing to engage with the process.
